Fall is for Red!

Fall is for Red!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’ve enjoyed the weekend as much as I have! I got to meet Big K.R.I.T., and let me tell you, that was an experience I’ll never forget. I got to hang out with my home girl, eat some great Mexican food, and I’ll be soon again hanging out with friends tonight. Might not seem like much but it’s definitely more than what I would normally do on the weekend. But let me get to these red pants though! I’ll be honest, I didn’t think red was a fall color but after wearing them and being photographed in them, it changed my mind. I had always seen red as either a color worn in the summer and around Christmas mostly, but this color popped in the clear fall skies. I literally felt like Foxy Brown with the big hair, high waist pants, and striped top. Being that this was a last minute look, I am happy with the way it turned out. Before putting this look together I had been on the lookout for a striped shirt and decided to make one, but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for and I just so happened to stumble across this shirt at a yard sale for $2.00! (*inserts DJ Khaled – All I do is win) I had been looking for a shirt in this very style and once I seen it, I politely walked to my car and scraped up some money for the purchase. What I love about this look is that it’s Classic and Sultry. It gives you just enough appeal to not look over the top. It’s super comfortable and the pants have my three most important things of wear and style. Number one, of course comfort. These pants fit like a glove but are so comfortable and stretchy. I made these pants using a Refined Ponte Knit that would make for the perfect material for a variety of fitted items. Number two, the pants have a long inseam. I can’t explain to you how much I love pants that go over my heels! I’m 5’7, so when I decide to make or purchase dress pants, I prefer them to be long. Thirdly, I absolutely love red! Red is my favorite color and one of my favorite colors to wear. These pants just make me want to purchase or make an entire wardrobe in red.
