Falling for Pleats

So it’s officially fall and I’m not quite ready to let go of my summer colors, or my longer daylight hours. True enough summer is my favorite season, but if you understood this hot Alabama heat then I’m sure you too would all be for the cooler days we’re in hopes that fall will bring. Keeping cool is definitely an essential for me while also keeping it stylish, so I paired this sheer pussybow top with a cute midi length pleated skirt. The design of the fabric reeled me in once I saw it and I instantly knew what I wanted to make with it. This skirt is so simple to make and it only took about 2.5 yards of fabric that I got on sale for about $10 total! This is actually my second pleated skirt that I made for myself and I am very pleased with the results. I’m definitely looking forward to sewing items that will go towards my fall wardrobe and also to the cooler days. So long summer, until next year.
