It’s 2018!

It’s 2018!

Well that year flew by and we’ve moved on to the next. It’s 2018 y’all and I’m just going to be real, 2017 had some for sure lessons learned. At times I got into trying to make my own path and had to deal with whatever arose from those situation, but what I will tell you that those situations only prepared me to realize what I may face in the future, so I’m thankful. But let’s get into a little bit of how my 2017 ended and how my 2018 began. Soooo… I went on the road trip I had been planning since forever. I went to Texas y’all!!!  We all know the saying “Everything’s bigger in Texas”, and I believe it. I absolutely enjoyed my time there.  It was like city living at its finest and being downtown made it even better. I love downtowns whether in a big city or small town. I love the architecture, the scenery, and the local events.  There were so many events, museums, and local art, I was in awe of it all. While I was in Texas I walked pretty much the entire time just to live the experience. I’ve always wanted to live in a downtown loft so I got to experience part of it without the loft lol. The only negative of living in a downtown area or city living is paying for parking. Ughhhh. I don’t think I’ll get use to that part but hey, I guess that’s just part of the experience. Being from a town largely known for football can easily get boring until football season comes back around and I barely get involved in that. I know, I know it’s not the town, it’s me (lol) but I do enjoy experiencing different places. I don’t quite know where I plan to visit next but I defintely want to go international.  As for Texas, I have so much more to share with you guys so be sure to tune into my next blog post that will include a small food tasting (lol) and my museum experiences. Until next time, I’ll catch you guys later!
